2181 is my favorite, but the focus looks off. At the Large size it is noticeable and might be a problem if they wanted it any bigger than a 4x6.

I'm seeing lots of wall and full length body shots. I can see they are wearing matching red shoes, but have no idea what color either of their eyes are. I'd like to see some more up close and personal shots.

None of them on the tracks did anything for me.

Just as a little disclaimer: this is ALL of the shots they remotely liked today. If I were to put this in a portfolio, there wouldn't be nearly as many wall and or foot shots. I would never include that many similar shots, they just want the choices available to them for their wedding.

Thanks for pointing that out though Andrew.

Also, we also included candids, just for their own personal use, and not necessarily to be used in a wedding setting at all; 2181 is one such photo.

Second disclaimer: "Shoot these shots like you would shoot a rock band. We want cute, not cheesey." So that's what we went for the whole time. Just thought it might change people's perceptions of the photos a bit if they knew WHY we were shooting what we were and where we were doing it.

Also, funny story... the cops got called on us at the railroad tracks! Apparently people from the freeway were calling the cops and telling them that we were tagging.

The ONLY ones I think cute when I see them are 2181 and 2056. Some of them honestly looked like you were trying too hard to get the indie-cute feel.

The red shoes are good for feet shots, but I feel my eyes keep sliding towards them whenever they are in the shot and it distracts me from the faces.

The out of focus ones would be good on the back of an engagement announcement, but not the front.

Hey, you don't need to put disclaimers on these, or justify why you shot them the way you did. They are beautiful, without an explanation. I really liked the ones on the tracks and the ones in front of all the graffiti. I liked them so much because there is so much texture and at the same time, there are just two subjects so they seem chaotic and simple all at the same time, you know? there's that contrast of messy and clean in the same photo, and I enjoyed looking at them. The people in the photos seem real, not posed, and I like that too. The only thing I did not like was the big, perfectly focused WAL-MART in the background of one of them. hahaha. thanks for sharing these!

Thank you Amy. :)

Note: The wal mart one was ONLY included because of the hilarity of the fact that the wal mart truck was perfectly in the frame.

niall-
these pictures are absolutely gorgeous! i love that they are not super gay and magazine-y. they look very artistic and i think it was a very creative way to go about taking these pics. though close ups wouldn't hurt, i honestly don't think it is necessary if jeremey and kelsey didn't specifically want them. keep up the good work :)

I just want to post to everyone... thank you for commenting the pictures. If the type of pictures or the locale of the pictures are not to your liking then just remember, they aren't your pictures.

The future bride and groom are ecstatic with them and they asked me to shoot their wedding. I will be posting those pictures as soon as I have them like I always do.

I'm also going to be posting the edits I did of the 5 out of focus shots so you can see how they were intended.

Paddy: What do you mean by it looks like I tried too hard? Can you elaborate?

This pictures look effortless. They capture a candid aspect even when they are not candid. I like the last one the best mostly because of the intimacy which it oozes with. The first one makes them appear a little too stern and even if that's what the couple wants it still doesn't really convey the relationship. They look like individuals even though his arm is around her. The color is great though, especially when there is such a wash of colors with the graffiti. The contrast on the gravel, even when out of focus, shows an eye for photography I could only dream of.

I have to say... that third pictures really is lovely. Great job.
