Posted some senior graduation announcements for my friend Angie.
Comments are more than ever, appreciated.
Went for a cleaner and more classic style. Thoughts?

dang dude i think those are some of your best portraits ever. nj
I love the one of her sitting in the flowers/field. Its weird to think places like that exist in SoCal.
I never understood the big hype around Senior Portraits, let alone multiple outfits. But I guess it just isn't me.
My thoughts aside, great pictures. I like the ones of her sitting in the plants with the flowers and the one with her by the lake in the dress.
Wasn't a fan of her on the porch.
The ones on the benches were nice too.
Senior Portraits = Money ... especially out of college. Ya know?!
Well done, they are artsy but not too overdone (post process).
Also, they are not a typical senior portrait and that is good.
(I've seen some of your other stuff and) You have a decent eye and hopefully a (long/successful) future (career?) in commercial photography.
I am curious to know what your thought process was and/or you goal/target for this shoot was. (I don't know you all very much...) My initial impressions are you helped her appear older/more mature than she probably is.
Thanks for the comment Angelo, the comments on these blogs, the more fun it is to post.
Based on your comment, I think there is still some confusion ... these are graduation announcements from College and not from High School. So if anyone is thinking she looks older, it's because she is and not because I helped!
We went into these pictures pretty nonchalant, she really was just like, I need some relatively decent pictures to put into a graduation announcement. She's not exactly ugly, so finding lighting to make her look good wasn't difficult, just filled in the sunlight with a strobe through an umbrella and fired away.
Got it, I read senior and thought ok, High School and then wow whatever you did you made her look post college! :)
Again good stuff (framing and lighting) and your post processing is decent and not TOO over done.
My only crit regarding your post processing on these (based on my preference obviously) is that they appear a little too contrasty / the blacks are too deep/over exaggerated but that's being extremely nit picky and they are NO where near the often over exaggerated HDR images that people create.
I will add you as a friend on flickr and look forward to seeing more images. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Angelo, that black comment is the kind of comment I'm looking for. I've found myself really enjoyed saturated blacks but I can see how they might be a touch overdone in these, being that they are supposed to be happier looking portraits. Thanks for the tip!
Man Niall, you are so talented.
I like 18, 10 and 6, they have her best smiles. Color is nice and saturated, but the contrast is a bit much and details in her eyes and hair are being lost in #18. Any pre-processed pics to compare to?
Good job though, I like the set.
