This country's view of marriage is so perverted and disgusting (the divorce rate, spousal abuse, husbands and wives who dislike each other, all of it) that I think it hilarious that so many people are suddenly coming to the "aid" of marriage when all that we have is a perverted and back water form. Surely, marriage is truly good and in a christian context, holy, but this is about a group of people who wants that are identical to another groups. That's a civil rights issue, not a religious issue.
I'm sure there are hundreds of holes in this little blurb, but so is the nature of posting on a blog site and not through communication in person. Comments are bound to be amended and arguments will surely spring up on your next blog post. :)
Have decided to abandon this topic, solely because there is far too much information to try and type out casually. I would be DELIGHTED to discuss this with someone in person, but over the internet, I don't even want to attempt it, knowing that all of us WILL disagree.
On a side note, I am SO happy that I finally watched that Stossel special. GENIUS!!

The divorce rate of counting all marriages is 50%
The divorce rate of counting all first marriages is only around 11%.
It isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
And even if they are coming to the "aid" of marriage now, isn't that a good thing?
