I'm not really (as of now) looking to do anything professional. I just want to be able to take good band photgraphy and maybe be good enough to get some money here and there from it (senior portraits, weddings). I was looking into taking a couple classes at Fullerton and seeing where it goes from there. Photojournalist missionary? Who knows.
And that site is really cool but the dude is kind of an elitist douche about a whole lot of things... but he knows a lot about what he's talking about and has some really great information.
I love the one of Typie and his nose shadow. Some of the others seem to mainstream.
what do you mean by mainstream?
not being defensive I just want to understand.
To me it seems like everybody takes those kind of pictures and say they are art. I think to take a picture and deem it a good artistic picture you have to do something different and interesting, and it looks good. But that's my take.
I haven't really seen a picture like the one you took of Typie, and i liked it.
